The Women’s Motocross/Supercross Foundation
Announces Distribution of Funds
Corona, Calif., (October 20, 2004) – The Women’s
Motocross and Supercross Foundation (WMXF) announced today
that due to the tremendous success of the Motobowl, they were
able to donate $6500 to the Asterisk Mobile Medical Unit.
Dr. John Bodnar indicated that the donation will be used to
help offset expenses for their nurse, trainer and to help
purchase supplies. Event chairperson Kristen Oehlhof expressed
her appreciation to "our extremely generous motocross
community" for the many donations of products and time
that they gave. "This event, and the subsequent donation,
would not have been possible without the help of our racing
community!"
The WMXF would also like to extend our appreciation to all
of the contributors and visitors to the Shane Lusk Step Up
effort. We have issued a $4512.77 check to Shane which includes
all of the donations received through October 17. The WMXF
wishes Shane continued success in his recovery. Future donations
and greetings should be directed to Mr. Shane Lusk c/o Ronnie
& Willa Lusk at the Shepherd Center, Room 216, 2020 Peachtree

for a professional motocross/supercross event. Second, the
foundation provides support to those in the motocross/ supercross
community who suffer serious misfortune not directly related
to competition. Third, WMXF provides financial support to
benevolent organizations that support the sport of motocross/supercross.
Finally, the foundation serves as a group of women who contribute
to the well-being of families in the professional motocross/supercross
community. WMXF will promote fellowship among the teams and
represent supercross, the outdoor nationals and the entire
sport in a beneficial way. For more information on the WMXF,
